The Art Lab for Futurology is a mobile and participative art project of multimedia artist and futurologist Jean-Michel Crapanzano.
Art Lab for futurology is a collaborative and participative project mixing art, art education, social participation and per-to-peer collaborations inside a bus driving from cities to cities.
The first commitment in partnership with the city of Heerlen, Drive-to-connect, Arcus high-school ( Art, Theater, Media), Minemuseum Brunssum, Continium Discovery Center Kerkrade, Bernardinus college and de Nieuwe Thermen college took place between March and June 2018.The idea : connect the youth and the mineworkers from Parkstad through a "monopoly-scenario game".
People exchanged their point of view, learned, and realised their documentary under supervision of Jean-Michel Crapanzano.
“THE LAST NEWS OF THE FUTURE” is a way to reshaping citizen’s collaboration through art, social participation and connected media. This is also a way to reimagine our societies and how they can be seen and experienced through the prism of the concept of futurology: the way to prospect our future based on the current situation. Being self-conscious about the world’s changements and its current context permit a redefinition about who we are, how invisible structures ( economical, political, religious) influences human's behaviour.
" What is the core of human's spirit and what is our place in this Universe" is therefore an essential question.
